Comfort Gluten-Free Food

After waiting patiently, my pre-ordered copy of Every Last Crumb appeared on my doorstep last month. I’ve been loving all of the recipes because they’re my comfort food. Biscuits, waffles, hot dog buns and corndogs. It’s insane. Brittany (the author) incorporates some ingredients that I don’t tend to use (like potato starch and guar gum) but has great substitute options. On each recipe, she indicates if it’s gluten-free, grain-free, coconut-free, dairy-free and/or nut-free. SO helpful.

I made the biscuits pictured above in about 25 minutes (including prep time) and then again because I made her biscuit pot pie (OMG SO GOOD). I swear I’m not being paid to write this post – I just want to share the love. Your body and soul will thank you this cold winter…

  • I just added it to my amazon wishlist. My husband and I on day 12 of Whole30 and we’ve been talking about doing more paleo style eating after the 30 days. I just enjoy the more healthy meals. It was pretty challenging at first, but I’m getting better at planning and figuring out what we both will like. This cookbook looks like it has some good stuff for us when we’re finished with whole30.

    • Yes!! I did Whole30 back in November and loved it (and sadly ate horribly this month). I missed baking and eating things like biscuits and pancakes so eating paleo-style of those things seems like the best alternative. Let me know how you like it!

  • I *love* that book. I developed a wheat allergy, largest change in my life due to being a lover of all baked goods. However, that book makes it a-okay.
