The Wonder Jam

These days, the word marriage usually comes with negative connotations. Stereotypes of boring couples who don’t even like each other. I just don’t get it. Luckily, neither does my husband Adam. Our marriage is comprised of so many things: collaborators, co-conspirators, best friends, partners + lovers. He’s the only person I never tire of, the only person who makes me laugh until I cry + the only person who really gets me.

That’s why I’m so excited to announce our new company: The Wonder Jam! It’s been a long time coming. We often would dream of the day where we could collaborate full-time. We both juggled full-time office jobs since we got married in 2009 and after I started freelancing back in August…it was always on our mind. It’s not something that you can just spontaneously do! We had debt. We didn’t have clients. We needed to learn more about each other.

Well the time has come and the site is now launched. We are hosting a private party on Friday to thank our clients, friends and family for all their support. We couldn’t have done it without all of them. The Wonder Jam is going to be a place where people can be quirky, different and innovative. We want our hands in everything: photography, site design, marketing campaigns, video and even SEO. Earlier this year we listed all the clients we’ve partnered with and realized we love working with companies, brands and individuals who are passionate about living well. Our tagline is: Brand Well. Live Well.

Our current clients include:

What does this mean for my own design company? I actually just became an LLC and have no plans to shut down. I am still hired on a regular basis to design logos, work in-house at other agencies to assist them with their own brand + for right now Allison Lehman Design is funding all our Haute Blog workshops this summer until that becomes its own entity. I’ve learned SO much by being a business owner and I don’t plan to stop anytime soon.
