NYC in Film
While we spent time in New York City, I only shot 35mm film on my Canon A-1. Here are some of my favorites from my first roll. I still need to finish my second roll so I’ll share the rest of my photos next week. I’ve missed shooting film! It’s almost like a time capsule. You shoot a roll, wait a bit and then you get a glimpse into what you saw. Plus, I love it when there are surprises. The shot below was double exposed and you can see me and Kellyn merged with a vertical shot of a gluten-free bakery sign. Perfect alignment, huh? It’s almost like it was designed to be that way.

Looove these! I’ve been shooting film for awhile, but I got a DSLR for Christmas and have (of course) been obsessed with it ever since. But these give me that itch for film photography again. Beautiful shots. :)

film! i haven’t used my film camera since this summer and when i went to london two weeks ago i packed it with me. but then… horror! i weighted the bag and it was too heavy for ryan air standards so i had to take out a lot of things, including the film camera:(
i regret it so much…these shots are beautiful and quite inspiring!

I love NYC, and I love film photographs! I haven’t shot film in years, and now you’re making me rethink getting rid of my film SLR. :S

I used to walk by where that Ralph Lauren sign is everyday on my way to work, makes me miss that area so much! I can’t believe those are all film shots! Amazing.

Great photos Allie!
I haven’t been to NYC in about 3 years so it’s nice to see the photos from your trip. I also love when you shoot film! I’ve always wanted to get back into film but I feel like it’s time consuming and quite expensive. Photos like these make me want to do it on a trip sometime though. The last one – double exposure is perfect!
