The Columbus Club: Nurtur Grandview
I’m starting a new series called The Columbus Club. My hopes is that over time it will become a “sub-blog” of Be Up & Doing and if I start posting about my lovely city more regularly – it won’t be a part of my main blog feed since I have a lot of readers all over the world. For now, I’m glad to be showing off where I live in hopes that all my awesome readers will look me up if they ever pass through! Columbus is amazing and one of the only places I’ve ever truly felt at home.
About a month ago I was offered a free service at the new Nurtur (an Aveda salon) location in Grandview (my neighborhood). I walked down one Friday morning excited to relax and enjoy my hair & scalp renewal ($60). I had just returned from Jamaica and my skin/hair was quite dry. Upon arriving I was immediately impressed with how tranquil and beautiful their new space is. It’s quite narrow and situated on the corner of a busier intersection but the glass windows really make it feel open.
My services were relaxing as always and Julie finished my services with a blowout as I sipped my cup of Stauf’s coffee! My hair seriously never looked better.

Love this new series, Allie! :) I’ve been thinking a lot about doing more local posts, as well, because I love my city and really want to highlight and promote the many talented artisans who offer great products and services throughout the city. P.S. I will probably be in the Columbus area after the holiday with a friend. It would be great to maybe meet up for a coffee or something if you’re around! :-)

I’ve always liked Nurtur’s Lane Avenue location, and I’m excited to hear it opened a Grandview salon!

I have been wondering when this salon was going to open up. It’s a great location and I would love to try it out for my birthday month :) I would probably use it before a holiday party for a fun party look or for New Years Eve (happens to be my bday too) :) Great giveaway!

If I had to use a gift card to Nurtur on a day like today I would probably try out their nail services instead of hair. Don’t want a new hair-do to get wet in the rain.

Well, first of all – I’m uber pumped about this feature!
I’ve lived in Columbus my entire life (pretty much – 3 years in Chicago as a toddler don’t count)! And it kills me that you live in Grandview – oh, if I had the money!
As a young mama of a toddler + newborn, I could totally use a day at Nurtur! Think I’d probably go for a mani!
