Blustery Moment – A Giveaway!
I am SO excited about this giveaway for many, many reasons. First of all, you should all know that one of my huge life goals is to become an art collector. I mean, obviously, I’m not going to be buying a Rothko anytime soon but I love buying artwork from talented artists (no matter how dead or famous). That’s why I loved studying art and design in college. Half of the time I spent just drooling and staring at other peoples’ work!
I’ve kept in touch with a lot of these talented artists and I’m excited to be giving away a part of my collection today! But there’s a catch…Ashely Peifer, this amazing painter, needs our help! She has been chosen as a finalist in Design * Sponge’s 2012 Scholarship for Grad Students!!! UPDATE: SHE WON!!!! Exciting, huh?! So here’s the deal – you vote for her and you could win one of her paintings (the one pictured above to be exact). It’s 12 inches by 12 inches and is titled, Blustery Moment. Love that.
So click below to enter and good luck! This contest will be open until Sunday, December 23rd until 10pm EST. [I did not get asked by Ashely to do this – it was my idea and wanted to support her! I own three of her paintings and am giving away one to one of you!]

She is so talented! I love Minneapolis :)
Thanks for the giveaway! -
I love that art is really an on going conversation. The artist is having a conversation with the audience, themselves, maybe someone specific. I also think, when and artist frames the question/conversation correctly, that conversation is timeless.
Good Luck Ashley!

I love the amazing talent and heart that usually goes hand in hand with art. Ashley is clearly very talented, and Allie this is awesome for you to be giving away a piece of hers that from your collection! Good luck with the scholarship contest, Ashley!
