Girls Getaway

I spent the weekend in Hocking Hills with five of my favorite Columbus ladies. We didn’t have cell service or wifi so we literally talked (LOUDLY) for almost 48 hours straight. Add in lots of wine, a hot tub, cheese and a gorgeous 65 degree weekend and we were quite content. Throughout the weekend, I remember realizing how much these women encourage and motivate me. Be sure to check out their blogs:

Do you and your friends have any fun traditions? We hope to make this girls getaway an annual thing. We also just decided to throw together a Friendsgiving next week. I’m so excited!

  • I don’t think I’ve ever had a girl’s weekend away, but after a really hectic few months of moving (twice!), I was able to have girl’s afternoon out twice this weekend with two different friends, and it was such a blessing to be around women that I don’t work with! ;)

  • I love the shots you captured! This weekend was fantastic (though it’s good to be back in the city, haha). Can’t wait for next week either.

P.S. Do you mind sending me the group photo? I want to add it as a page into my 2012 photo book!

  • I am dying to spend a weekend somewhere without cable or internet. I desperately need some quiet time to unwind, and I’d be happy to be either with my husband or my girlfriends!

  • Ok, I seriously need to make a wifi-free weekend happen.

  • This looks like my kind of weekend! How wonderful. :)

My girls and I always spend New Year’s together. They come up to Traverse City and we see a movie at the old theater and then stay downtown to watch our local “cherry” ball drop! I look forward to it every year. :)
